Transport Basket, Soft
These soft plastic baskets are used to transport oysters from the spat collection area to the grow-out site. They can be placed so that when oysters are removed from the collector they fall directly into the baskets. These baskets nest within one another, are strong and reusable, and are available in a variety of colours.
Transport Basket, Rigid
These harder plastic baskets have many uses. They can be used to transport oysters from the grow-out site to the processing plant, to clean oysters, and for short-term storage. These baskets are available in many colours, and on orders of 500 or more, a plastic tab in a contrasting colour can be added to each one. This tab can be written on, so you can label each basket as appropriate.
The transport and storage baskets are both stackable and nestable, and are sized to fit conveniently on 1m x 1.2m pallets, four to a row. Each basket holds about 15kg of oysters, and they are made of food-grade polyethylene.
Cleaning Basket
These baskets are used primarily for cleaning oysters. Oysters are placed in the baskets, which can then be placed in a shallow pool of water for cleaning. There are special holes on each end of the baskets which are used to pick the baskets up with hooks, eliminating the need to go in the water to retrieve them.
These baskets nest in each other for convenient storage, and are strong and reusable.
Storage Basket 38
The Storage Basket 38 has a capacity of 38 litres. It comes in two variations. One has a grid bottom and sides, while the other has smooth plastic sides and bottom. Both are used for storage and handling of oysters.
These baskets are nestable and stackable: they nest for ease of storage and transport, and stack when filled to avoid crushing of the oysters.They are strong, reusable, and available in a range of colours.
Packaging Basket
This attractive basket is made of soft plastic with a grid on all panels of it. It has two flaps which can be securely closed with tabs, and tightened to hold the oysters closed, preserving freshness. It comes in a variety of colours.
